There’s no other fashion staple I love more in the cold winter months than a scarf (besides maybe a watch, if you know me, you know my love for watches!). A good scarf can dress up an outfit while providing warmth and class. Not to mention, stains on your shirt from baby drool or spit-up can be easily hidden by a tasteful scarf or wrap – how easy it that?
In the spirit of the holidays and the cold winter months, I’ve put together a round-up of my favorite scarves. These make great gifts for a special someone, or treat yourself. You deserve it!
- My Favorite – Flannel Blanket Scarf by Old Navy
One of my favorites of the bunch, this animal print blanket scarf. I can’t say I love all of Old Navy’s threads but their scarves are the perfect weight. They have a bit of heft to them without being overly bulky (ahem, Zara & Banana Republic, are you listening?). I have to hand it to them, they know how to make an amazing scarf, I bought two of them while writing this article, so…. buy it HERE
Runner Up – Classic Plaid Scarf by J.Crew Factory
Nothing says more like holiday fashion that tartan, I’m literally obsessed. And nobody does tartan better than J. Crew. Nobody. My favorite tartan print is by J. Crew but it is terribly hard to find (holiday tartan). They come out with new prints every season so search around for the one you like best. In any print, their scarves are fabulous.
Go for a better thread quality at J. Crew or opt for their more economical version at their Factory store. Honestly, the Factory scarves are great so don’t knock them, they will complement any of your fall/winter outfits. On sale now for just $20 (OMG?!), HERE.
Reversible Scarf by BP.
I haven’t tried this one myself but have been eyeing it for weeks now. This double-sided scarf features two classic patterns in one great look: a supersoft and cozy reversible scarf instantly doubles your street-style cred. Buy it for just $26, HERE.
Tulip Chevron Scarf by Ann Taylor
Choose a scarf with a colorful or monochromatic print to bring a muted outfit to life. A refined add-on to any look, the tulip chevron scarf is lightweight and adds a pop of color. On sale now for $25! Buy it HERE.
Faux Fur Scarf by Forever 21
Go a little daring this winter! A faux fur scarf provides just the amount of drama needed while still staying cool and sophisticated. Try out a faux fur scarf before purchasing an expensive real fur scarf (if that’s your thing), to make sure that you are comfortable wearing it. Fur isn’t for everyone but it looks absolutely stunning. Buy it for just $18, HERE.
Heritage Check Cashmere Scarf by Burberry
I would be remiss to not mention the holy grail of all scarves – the Burberry check scarf. It’s the scarf that all other scarves look up to, a perfect blend of timeless elegance and quality. With a price tag of $400+, it won’t be under my Christmas tree this year, but a girl can dream. If you have the budget for it, buy it HERE, and send me a pic with it on – I’ll gladly post it to share in your happiness, lucky you!
